Winterfest 2020 Carowinds. Opening day will be on saturday, march. Winterfest takes place on select dates between november 13, 2021 and january 2, 2022.
On november 22, this will also be the return of the carowinds winterfest nightly parade that debuted in 2019 (and skipped in 2020 due to covid). While the parade is best experienced in person (and i might honestly go back to winterfest just to watch the parade again), here are a few videos of the parade in action. A few days the park was open for an hour sometimes less and closed.

The state of north carolina has now moved into phase 3 of their reopening plans which allows theme parks, movie theaters and other attractions to open so a reopening. Much like the grand carnivale parades at other cedar fair parks (and at carowinds in 2020!), it is truly a step above typical regional theme park entertainment. I worked winterfest 2005 and half the event was spent waiting for riders, a couple days the park didn't open at all due to rain, sleet or snow.
